SA Rising Star v World IT Multinationals

 

South Australian web software company, Chimo, finds itself up against the global might of Fujitsu, Cable and Wireless and SIngtel in a bid for a multimillion dollar internet project commissioned by the Maldives Government.

 

Chimo, twice listed in the BRW Fast 100, and consortium partner SAGRIC, beat an extensive list of International tenders, from companies worldwide to be short-listed for the project. With a turnover of about $A2.5 million last year, Adelaide-based Chimo will battle it out with the three telecommunications and IT goliaths who last financial year had a combined turnover of over $67 billion.
