Hewlett-Packard (HP) is a leading global provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses. The company’s offerings span IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services and imaging and printing. HP completed its acquisition of Compaq Computer Corporation on May 3, 2002.
HP Australia is the second largest technology solutions company and is in the top 20 of Australian companies. The company employs approximately 4,000 people to staff its Australian operations, and has more than 40 locations throughout the country.
Currently 70 per cent of HP products sold in Australia are manufactured locally. Its Sydney manufacturing operation has contributed more than A$1 billion to the Australian and New Zealand economies over the past five years. Australia is also the location for the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Storage Centre, one of only three in the world.
